A drier rice, Basmati grains will remain separate, which makes it a staple of Indian cooking. It tastes great with tandoori and in curries such as the classic butter chicken, or as an alternative base for a Thai massaman curry.
For best results, Basmati rice should be rinsed and then soaked for 30 minutes prior to cooking.
All rice is naturally gluten free.

Usage Instructions
Cooking method Rice Cooker 1. Rinse rice with cold water. 2. Place 1 cup of rice in a rice cooker bowl. Add 1 1/2 cups of cold water. Start cooking In the rice cooker. When rice cooker switches to 'keep warm' (approx 15 minutes) stand for 5 minutes before serving. Absorption 1. Rinse rice with cold water. 2. Place 1 cup of rice in a saucepan. 3. Add 1 1/2 cups of cold water and bring to the boil. 4. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 15 minutes. 5. Remove from heat and stand covered for 5 minutes. Gentle boil 1. Rinse rice with cold water. 2. Place 1 cup of rice in a saucepan. 3. Add 8 cups of cold water. Bring to boil and stir occasionally. 4. Reduce heat and boil gently uncovered for 15 minutes. 5. Remove from heat, drain well and serve. 1 cup of uncooked rice = approximately 3 cups of cooked rice. For softer rice add more water.
